Canyon Future Mobility Concept

German bicycle manufacturer Canyon has presented a small, cycle-based car designed to give city residents a sustainable way of getting around. The cool Canyon Future Mobility Concept could be the future of urban transportation, allowing riders to dodge traffic and eliminate the dreaded search for parking. The compact electric pedal car offers a laidback recumbent e-bike position, yet offers four wheels like a quadricycle. It uses a fully sealed design to protect riders from the weather, as well as provide some crash protection too. The unique low-emission vehicle is designed to seamlessly jump from the street to the bike lane, it can transition from car traffic and speeds up to 37 miles per hour, down to 15 miles per hour (conventional e-bike max speeds) and slip into narrower bike lanes once traffic starts to build up. The battery-assisted vehicle uses pedal-power for propulsion, with direction controlled via joysticks for steering to navigate a 7m turning radius. watch the video below
