Roam Elevate Ski Exoskeleton

Is skiing starting to hurt your body too much? San Francisco-based Roam Robotics have developed Elevate, a robotic exoskeleton designed to support your quads and knees so you can spend more time doing what you love. Using a lightweight composite frame, air chambers at your knees and a backpack battery pack/compressor combo, the Elevate Exoskeleton takes almost half of the stress off your knees and quads. By combining on-board sensors with smart software, Elevate anticipates your turns and automatically adjusts knee and quad support to aid your natural motion. With 5 power levels at your fingertips, the Elevate Ski XO lets you choose the level of support that matches your skiing style. Elevate will be available this winter for rentals at premier ski resorts in Colorado, Utah, Montana, Idaho and California. Set-up takes just a few minutes and it works with all ski boots.
